It's no surprise that the Oscar telecast was mindnumbing boring--that's a given. Every year I watch it and about half way through remember my pledge from last year that I wasn't going to watch it this year. C'est la vie.
But one thing still has me perplexed. What was the deal with the monkey on top of Andrew Lloyd Webber's piano? It was freaky. Are there monkey's in the Phantom of the Opera?
Monkey's at the Oscars? Not hip. Not hip at all.

There was a monkey on the piano? How could you tell which one was the monkey, and which one was Andrew Lloyd Weber?
I avoided the Oscars this year; I had seen virtually none of the movies up for Oscars, and I honestly just wasn't that interested.
