At age 17 songwriter Teitur Lassen left his home in the Faroe Islands and headed to Copenhagen. After years of paying his dues in clubs throughout London and New York, he is finally poised to make his mark in the states. Most recently he was the opening act for John Mayer on his worldwide tour and in 2003 he released his first album, Poetry and Aeroplanes.
His songs have been described as "ethereal and pragmatic." His sound is a hybrid of Sting, Paul Simon, David Wilcox, and David Gray, yet at the same time Teitur is his own man. Unique. Thinking. Music about the average Joe.
