uk wardrobe malfunction

Reuters UK: "Media regulator Ofcom has chastised Dominic Wood, a BBC children's TV presenter, for wearing a T-shirt with a sexually suggestive slogan."

I wonder what they would do if Woody Woodpecker or Woody Boyd were still on TV?

Rant Knotty Rant! We can share this soapbox.

I never understood the logic that seeing a boob is worse than watching violence either. Frankly, i think that violence on tv, and other forms of media is FAR more damaging to children that the occasional naked person. Ditto for adults.

As for the Ofcom, I think they are (like our own FCC and "Janetgate") playing politics, and blowing this out of proportion. Why not just call the BBC and quietly giving them a heads up, instead of making a public issue of it?

Finally, (oooh, now i'm on a rant) aren't there more pressing issues in the UK (and US for that matter) than a boob at the superbowl, or a saucy T-Shirt on the BBC? How about the crisis in Darfur? Or the 1,044 deaths of American soldiers in Iraq?

'Nuff said.
